<Name witheld> had a wonderful time at camp.  Congratulations on a great job!

She said that she really enjoyed Mr. Hunt as a conductor, as well as the conductors of Symphonic the first week. She said they were all great teachers, and she appreciated their enthusiasm.

She is particularly grateful to have had the chance to work with Dr. Chapman, whom she describes as the best teacher she’s ever had in her life (on any subject.)  She tried to relate to us the important concepts he taught them during the week, and I can see how fortunate she was to have had this opportunity to work with someone of such high caliber.  He definitely offered a deeper level of understanding and opened their minds to a whole new way of thinking.  Kudos for finding excellent conductors to lead each level at your camp!  I think her experience in Symphonic with Dr. Chapman was akin to being in a memorable All State ensemble; thanks for making that possible.

Rose made us watch her recordings of staff skit night several times.  It was surprisingly entertaining!  We could tell everyone was having a genuinely terrific time.

I thought she might have been tired of camp, attending for two weeks.  But she said she wasn’t tired of camp at all (just her lips and flute-fingers) and that she would gladly live there.  I think you have created another NW Band Camp Life Member.

NW Band Camps gave our son, <Name withheld>, lots of fun memories to keep.  Even now he still remembers fire on the beach, making s'mores and dancing.  He really enjoyed making new friends through students, counselors and teachers, but most of all he loved to play challenging music that his school doesn't get to play.

This camp, 3rd year now for our boy, has been terrific.  His musicianship improves and expands with every camp and it is amazing what he can now do after just one week.  Our son was so inspired this year that he is adding an instrument, requesting private lessons AND volunteering for extra band opportunities at his school this summer.  Thank you for putting on such a great camp.  From the staff to the counselors to the Directors - all are tops!
